ABOUT
FIRST LOVE
My love for woodwork and making was born at an early age. Although at the time I did not realise what I was doing and where the journey would take me, I simply loved taking something that was being thrown away and re-purposing them into something more useful.
Since then, I have been fortunate to learn some key skills that are rare these days. From furniture restoration to bespoke commissions and everything in between.

RESTORATION
When I am restoring furniture I try to keep the story alive, typically the item has been on a journey and I do not want to erase that history so my approach is very conservative. Where this is not possible then I apply my skills learnt creating reproduction furniture so the repair and restoration is not obvious.
BESPOKE COMMISSIONS
Bespoke commissions are a joy to do. It is equally challenging to furniture restoration however different in many ways. I usually try and let the wood tell the story by keeping the wild grain and knots where possible. To me this makes the furniture more interesting and also avoids waste.
